A Resurrection Day Parable

194

It was in August 2018, around my birthday, that the Lord commissioned me to write my book, “FREEDOM: True Freedom Lasts Forever.” I had been at ARTCROSS, a Christian arts festival, in Austria. While there, I had written a song called “New Shoes.“ Full of yearning, full of hope, I couldn’t move into the next season without new shoes. I ached to dance a romance, brand new, with Truth…

It was then that the radical forgiving love of Yeshua, sealed for us through the cross and the Resurrection, pulled me into a radical new waltz of forgiveness. The message behind “FREEDOM,” conceived through a song of longing and relationship, was soon to be born at Auschwitz.

This is how it happened.

After ARTCROSS, I went to visit friends in Poland. They  took me to Birkenau, the killing camp associated with Auschwitz. As I grappled with the horror of 20,000 people being killed there, each and every day, I begged the Lord for help. He gave me the most radical forgiveness. The most joyous, holy, love-filled peace overwhelmed me. I glided through the aisles like I was dancing in euphoria. Yeshua’s shoes.

God told me that both the horrendous evil of amplified Naziism and the holy exultation I was experiencing in Birkenau were coming to the earth, and that His shoes would allow me to dance in His love and His peace, in His joy and His purity, till it’s end. God’s shoes.

I began to understand, but just a little. Then God told me to write “FREEDOM: True Freedom Lasts Forever,” to help people walk into this amazing deliverance of true love. As I wrote it, I understood more and more.

Passover’s fulfillment in Yeshua, through the cross and the Resurrection, is the greatest act of love, compassion, and forgiveness imaginable. Unimaginable, except for the fact that it’s real. The radical power of God‘s love is the strongest force for transformation in the universe. When we align ourselves with it, we are one with the Source that holds all things together. Gospel sharing shoes. Resurrection Day shoes.

I pray the lyrics, below, to “New Shoes” bless you.

They were written just before I walked into “FREEDOM.” Thus, they describe the beginning of my journey.

And Happy Resurrection Day to you all!

May God’s Love and Light, His Resurrection Power, Victory, Glory and Joy, fill your lives to overflowing throughout this coming year. Regardless of circumstances, may we be seen and known for our unquenchable love-filled, peace-overflowing joy.

Shalom!  Shalom! Im ahavah … with love, WD

NEW SHOES

Sitting on the edge of the bed,

Wondering how I got here, and how I was led,

Wanting to fly into eternity’s rhyme,

Finding myself at a loss for time.

So where’s the rhythm, where’s the flow?

Into Your Heart I was supposed to go.

Yet here I sit on the edge of the bed,

Wondering how I got here and how I was led.

Inside of You, I fly into truth.

Inside of You I am the good news.

Inside of you eternity beats.

Your rhythm puts everything under my feet.

Wasn’t it easy when we first began?

Then came the hardships. The stress. The demands.

I’m trying to find our first freedom again.

Our first romance, when on your feet I danced.

Has something gone wrong or has something gone right?

I’m still hearing your rhythm, so why do I fight?

You’re calling me upwards, I can’t handle the light.

I’m dying inside, but I’m hungry for life.

So here I am. No demands.

No preoccupations. No other plans.

Just to wait upon You. Laughter or blues.

My life is forfeit but I need new shoes.

To dance a romance,  brand new, with you.

Inside of You, I fly into truth.

Inside of You I am the good news.

Inside of you eternity beats.

Your rhythm puts everything under my feet.

Your Rhythm is tender. Your Flow is slow.

Into Your Heart I’m now ready to go.

I wear Your Shoes to carry Your News.

Your Love in my heart, my mind filled with Your Truth.

Inside of You, I fly into truth.

Inside of You I am the good news.

Inside of you eternity beats.

Your rhythm puts everything under my feet.

As I dance, our romance, brand new, with you.
