On June 6, 2018, seven UK musicians will fly out to Israel to begin a music tour of Israel and the West Bank. The group will be performing small concerts in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Galilee and Bethlehem. The concerts hope to bring Israel’s diverse communities together through music, and will be free for all that attend.
The vision of the tour, called Music on The Wind, is to use music to invest in both the lives of Israelis and Palestinians and is the effort of the Directors of the i61Collective, Deborah Paul and Christy Anastas.
Christy and Deborah’s short film, Love Has No Borders won Gold in the Religious Freedom and Business film category, which was screened at the UN in Geneva and at the Religious Freedom and Business Symposium and Peace Summit in Seoul, South Korea in March.
As directors of the I61Collective, Deborah and Christy will be taking seven talented artists from different musical backgrounds, a filming crew including a sound engineer, a tour host and a concert planner are making up the core team.
They are looking for partners to support the concerts financially, and are crowdfunding via Music On The Wind on GoFundMe.

“We believe that music has the ability to cross borders and penetrate walls. In essence like a bird, it flies on the wind. Our desire is simple, to use music to invest into the lives of people from all backgrounds, race and religions.”
Positive steps and goodwill actions that each of us take, are the pillars for bringing change and building bridges. We are taking an unbiased non-political approach to bringing two communities together through music.

“It is not ‘forgive and forget’ as if nothing wrong had ever happened, but ‘forgive and go forward’, building on the mistakes of the past and the energy generated by reconciliation to create a new future.” Alon Paton
