Bus Bombing in Jerusalem Shatters Relative Calm in Israel

Yesterday, April 18, 2016, a public bus exploded in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Talpiot. 21 people were wounded, including 2 critically, but fortunately no one was killed. While no one in Israel was under the illusion that these terrorist attacks had to come to an end, there had been a relative calm over the last few weeks.

This bus bombing, reminiscent of the type of terror attacks from the Second Intifada (2000-2005), is a vicious reminder of Israel’s constant fight against terror. Will the world cry out against this evil as they did after the terrorist attacks in Western cities like Paris and Brussels? Or will the world continue to give legitimacy to Palestinian terrorists brutally killing innocent Israelis?

Hamas does not claim responsibility for the bombing, but does does praise the attack. According to the terrorist organization, “Hamas blesses the Jerusalem operation.”

Prime Minister Netanyahu declared, “We will find whoever prepared and dispatched the explosives, as well as those who helped them… We will settle accounts with these terrorists.”

Pray for Israel’s protection for we know God is our shield.

No, the guardian of Israel never slumbers or sleeps. – Psalm 121:4
