‘For thus says YHVH of hosts, ‘Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land. I will shake all the nations’
‘Again the word of YHVH came unto me, saying, Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations…’
In this turbulent ‘Age of the Absurd’ where Pandora’s Box has been unleashed upon the Earth, and even Jewish homosexuals freely march in hordes of Pride down the streets of Jerusalem brandishing the rainbow of divine promise and admonition in the name of freedom and civil liberties, fulfilling the words of Revelation, “the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified,” it should come as no surprise that the chosen nation is now in a state of chaos. When after two thousand years of exile and a devastating Holocaust the Jewish people return to the Land of their fathers and the prophets and the Bible and make Tel Aviv ‘the Gay capitol of the world,’ and political corruption in government spawns distrust of leadership, one should not be too surprised that a reaction finally comes to pass, as if a monkey wrench has been tossed into the works. It is not only a reaction from the religious extremists and the far right and far left or even our many enemies, but of G-d himself. There is a limit to liberty when borders of common sense are breeched and all restraints cast off, that chaos ensues and freedom is lost, as the Laws of our Creator cannot fort long be broken with impunity. Therefore it behoves us to learn from the past, or be doomed to repeat it.
“He is sifting out the hearts of men before His Judgement seat.” May there be at least ten righteous here in the Land of Israel to stay the hand of judgement, remembering, ‘‘For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land…Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the nations whither ye went. Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord God, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.’
Hear the word from Ezekiel:
“As I live, saith the Lord God, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters. Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good. Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thou hast done.
When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then will I bring again the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them: That thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort unto them. Before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of thy reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, which despise thee round about.
Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thine abominations, saith the Lord. For thus saith the Lord God; I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, which hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant. Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.”
