Crucifying the flesh

While praying for friends who have been suffering from covid, I sighed in deep sorrow over their distress. Suddenly a picture of Yeshua, sighing deeply while staked to the tree, came to mind and I understood how G-d could have granted permission for this plague to inflict people from all nations, tribes and tongues.

While many conspiracy theorists have given power and credit to the globalists who may have deliberately released this virus for their own evil purposes, I was reminded of when satan was given permission by G-d Himself to touch all that Job had. The accuser was sure that Job would curse G-d and die. Even the mistranslated English amplifies the enemy’s pronouncement by saying that Job‘s wife said, “Curse G-d and die!” when in actuality she said, “Bless G-d and die – בָּרֵךְ אֱלֹהִים וָמֻֽת!

Only our Creator knows what it will take to purify our hearts in order to keep us from falling away in times of distress.

Then I was reminded to breath deeply over and over. And the picture returned of Yeshua, struggling to breathe during His crucifixion with the realization that His death was caused by suffocation. This virus also kills by suffocation.

Then I had the impression that G-d actually allowed this to occur so that our flesh would be crucified in order to refine us in preparation for the Daniel 11:21, 31, 41 days. Our idolatrous distractions must be crushed so that we will have new wineskins that will be able to hold and preserve the coming new wine. So I pray that because I belong to Messiah Yeshua, may the passions of my flesh be crucified so I can be filled with the Galatians 5:22-24 Fruit of the Spirit! Breathe on us, Oh Elohim with Your breath so that we may bless you and die to ourselves!
