There was a worship conference scheduled and I came but it was the same format as always, so I sat in the back and just listened for Adonai to speak. The two key worship leaders seemed to be in an argument because, although they were supposed to work together, there was clearly no unity but only looks of hostility and arms folded in self defense. When the music began it was like a strange fire so I quickly left.
I’d been staying in some kind of youth hostel, and that next day I stayed in my room most of the day because I was fasting about the situation. But I came out in the evening and browsed through the kitchen spices. They had drawers and shelves full of spices but only a few were fresh and pungent. Most were stale and had no fragrance at all.
The owner, an Orthodox Jew, was very kind and he and his wife wanted to know what they could get me to eat. They were surprised to hear I was fasting and when I told them I was fasting for unity, we had the most amazing conversation, and they were even quoting the words of Yeshua!
A single mom was staying there too with her two sons, aged 14 and 12. The boys were very withdrawn and even seemed frightened. Then I learned that they were witnesses in an upcoming, high profile trial and they had been sequestered at this place for their security. I brought in my two older grandsons and all four boys had a great time playing soccer together. It was like watching the sequestered boys come to life from the dead.
After my grandsons left, a delivery man brought in a delicious looking pizza for the boys and as they sat down to eat, I quickly grabbed the pizza from the table. The boys called out in disappointment and the youth hostel owner came over in anger, but I told him that the L-rd told me there was poison in the pizza. Sure enough when the pizza was analyzed they found finely crushed glass in the crust. I put the pizza in the box of trash that was already overflowing on the floor. There was a lot of fresh looking food in the trash and I was surprised at all the wasted food.
Knowing that their place had been compromised, I drove the boys to a new place. When I turned onto the road to a small village, it was like driving through Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm, the place we lived during our time in Germany. I recognized the signs and even some of the shops from when we had lived there. It seemed like a safe place for the boys and I helped them settle there until their trial.
Interpretation 1
This is a serious issue in the body of Messiah, but it is interesting that you were in the middle of it to see it all. Prophetic seers and watchmen are vital for the interventions God will bring. Tares are being exposed and separated out. The harvest is nigh.
Interpretation 2
This dream is a warning to the church with two opposing worship leaders. There is a conflict amidst the churches, a conflict where the flesh opposes the Spirit and the Spirit opposes the flesh and there is/will be damage/hurt (fire). Here is a call to set apart for prayer & focus on the Lord (run away to fast). (Matt 26:41)
Holiness, our set apartness of the Church is dissipating. The fresh & vibrant spices are few. (Mark 9:50) Much is weak & useless, because we do not spend enough time in the Lord’s sanctuary.
We are too quick to consume the immediate (fast food pizza) but such a diet will destroy our ability to eat of the true food bread of life. (glass destroys digestion system)
The sinful flesh/world offers this devastating fast food. It appears good because those who offer it appear good & sincere & smatterings of truth (kind Jewish hostel owners).
The “place” many Christians are at is one of angst, fear, feeling of powerlessness, just like most in the world today. We are no different from the world. We are trapped in this worldly weakness because we are in the wrong place in our hearts before the Lord. (boys in fear, restricted in false sense of security). Joy & release is attainable (2 pairs of boys playing).
Need to “come home” to our Lord Yeshua, (German home) & back to our roots in Messiah & instead of soothing ourselves in immediate solutions, be renewed in Messiah’s overarching mission & the Gospel, and move on from there. We must shift our hope for immediate justice in the political arena to the beauty of the Church as the solution for the present angst of society.
