Dream – Ben Hinnom Valley

Ben Hinnom Valley

Throughout the dream there were two little children walking in the distance. I didn’t always see them but could always feel their presence. They left behind little pieces of wrapping paper everywhere.

I remember following a car to arrive at the valley that was mostly barren with many rocks on the side. Then I realized it was the Ben Hinnom Valley.

A worship leader who resembled two Israeli worship leaders in real life who I know and love, Bracha and Yonah, was bringing new songs to Israel. She had a thick black notebook that was full of her beautiful songs that people at the center were learning. I loved singing harmonies with her songs and several times I could hear a host of angels joining in harmony – it was truly glorious!

The house, which was like a worship center, was full of men and women of all ages, though most were younger. The women’s shower was full, as there were so many women so I thought to see if the men’s shower would be available. But the number of men had suddenly grown so their shower was full too.

Later when I walked outside to prepare to drive home, I noticed that the road had become a river with beautiful colors from bright blue to teal. And nearby a small river with similar rich colors that I’d never seen before was gushing up down in the valley.

Small waves lapped at the driveway. I wondered how I would ever drive on this road of water and when I touched the water to see if it was real, it backed away, almost playfully and then returned!

Suddenly out of a small wave three little children rose up and then a fourth one who resembled my grandson Uzziel. I recognized them as my children and then knew for certain we were in the Ben Hinnom Valley.

After writing down this dream I closed my eyes to ponder the water in the desert like place and suddenly saw flashes of lightning and heard the thunder! And then I clearly heard the name Obed Edom עֹבֵד אֱדֹם.

Obed Edom means “a servant of Edom”.  He was a Levite and a Gittite who kept the ark after Uzzah was slain by G-d for touching the ark while it was being taken to Jerusalem. It’s also the name of a Merarite Levite and a singer and gatekeeper.
