When I first became a believer, I was amazed to see the parallels of Yeshua’s life and death and resurrection with the account of the Exodus from Egypt and the crossing of the Red Sea and journey to the Promised Land. The Passover is the foundational event which we remember in the redemption and formation of the Children of Israel as a nation — freed from Egypt and its bondage, in order to be free to serve YHVH their God — and the Last Supper is given to remember the crucifixion and resurrection of Yeshua as the foundational act to redeem and to save Israel, and all other peoples, from sin and its bondage, in order to really know and love our God and Savior as His children.
The Pesach “Haggadah” that I wrote — using only Scripture — brings out things old and new, attempting to express my faith and identity as a Messianic Jew, looking for the blessed hope of the return of the Lord and the resurrection/rapture of the believers.
