God is more concerned with developing our Christ-like Character than in developing our Ministry! (Part 1)

367

What are we here on earth for?  What is it all about?

For Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus the Christ) to be formed in us!

For us to become sons and daughters of the Living God!

For us to personally know our Living, Loving Savior Yeshua!

Christianity is about developing Christ like qualities!

Yeshua is most concerned about developing true sonship!

Developing our Character and Maturity in Christ are so much more important to God then in developing our ministry!

Acts 20:24 But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and (secondarily) the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the Gospel of the Grace of God.

Galatians 4:19  My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ (Messiah) is formed in you

Hebrews 2:10  For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to Glory, to make the Captain of their Salvation perfect through sufferings.

Romans 8:29  For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Revelation 12:10  Then I heard a loud voice saying in Heaven, “Now Salvation, and Strength, and the Kingdom of our God, and the Power of His Messiah have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.  12:11  And they overcame him (Satan) by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

What is our testimony?

Isn’t it in the many areas in which we have overcome and been changed, being made by the Holy Spirit more into the image and likeness of our Lord and Savior Yeshua?

Jeremiah 31:3  The LORD has appeared of old unto me, saying, “Yes, I have loved you with an Everlasting Love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”

1 John 4:16  God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God (abides) in him. 4:17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

John 13:34  “A new Commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.  13:35  By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

John 15:13  “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. 15:14  You are My friends if you do whatever I command you!  15:15  No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.  15:16  You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask My Father in My name He may give you. 15:17 These things I command you, that you love one another!

Romans 5:3  … but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 5:4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.  5:5  Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.  5:6  For when we were still without strength, in due time Messiah died for the ungodly.  5:7  For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Messiah died for us.  5:9  Much more then, having now been justified by His Blood, we shall be saved from Wrath through Him.

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore, if anyone is in Messiah, he is a New Creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new!

Romans 6:4  Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Messiah was raised from the dead by the Glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

John 15:4  “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”

2 Timothy 1:9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Messiah Jesus before time began …

Galatians 2:20  I (my old man) have been crucified with Christit is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Galatians 5:22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 5:23 gentleness, self control. Against such there is no law. 5:24 And those who are Messiah’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

1 Corinthians 13:1  Though I speak with the tongues of men and   of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.  13:3  And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.  13:4  Love (is patient) suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;  13:5  does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 13:6  does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;  13:7  bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  13:8  Love never fails! But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.  13:9  For we know in part and we prophesy in part.  13:10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.  13:11  When I was a child, I spoke as a child,    I understood as a child, I thought as a child.  But when I became    a man, I put away childish things.  13:13  And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the Greatest of these is love!

Romans 8:38  For I am persuaded that (nothing) neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,  8:39  nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which  is in Messiah Jesus our Lord.

Psalm 18:35 You have also given me the shield of Your Salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great.

Luke 9:23  Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.  9:24  For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it!”

Mark 10:21  Then Yeshua, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”

Proverb 19:11  The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, and his glory is to overlook a transgression.

Proverb 10:12  Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all sins.

1 Peter 4:7  But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.  4:8  And above all things have fervent love for one another, for ‘love will cover a multitude of sins.’  4:10  As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Matthew 13:44  “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.  13:45  Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls,  13:46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.”

2 Corinthians 4:6  For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the Glory of God in the face of Jesus the Messiah.  4:7  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the Power may be of God and not of us.

Colossians 1:27  To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the Glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is ‘Christ (Messiah) in you, the hope of Glory!’

John 1:12  But as many as received Him (Yeshua), to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:  1:13  who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 1:14  And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His Glory, the Glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of Grace and Truth.  1:16  And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.  1:17  For the law was given through Moses, but grace and Truth came through Yeshua the Messiah.

1 John 3:1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 3:2  Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.  3:3  And everyone who has  this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

1 John 3:10  In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest. Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.  3:11  For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another,  3:12 not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother’s righteous. 3:13 Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you.  3:14  We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.  3:15  Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has Eternal Life abiding in him.  3:16  By this we know love, because He laid down His life for usAnd we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  3:17  But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?  3:18  My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in Truth.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”  8:16  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,  8:17  and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be Glorified together.  8:18  For  I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the Glory which shall be revealed in us.  8:19  For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.  8:20  For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;  8:21  because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.  8:22  For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.  8:23  Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.  8:24  For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees?  8:25  But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.  8:26  Likewise the Spirit also helps  in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for  as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.   8:27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.  8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.  8:29  For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

2 Corinthians 3:15  But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart.  3:16  Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.  3:17  Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.  3:18  But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the Glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from Glory to Glory,  just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

God has given us His Authority and Power over all of the power of the demonic enemies

Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the Authority (exucia) to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you!  10:20  Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in Heaven.” (Mt 28:18-20)

Matthew 16:19  “And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven, whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven.”

Matthew 10:1  And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them Power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.

Luke 9:1  Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them Power (dunamis) and Authority (exucia) over all demons, and to cure diseases.  9:2  He sent them to preach the Kingdom   of God and to heal the sick.

Mark 3:14, 15  Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach,  3:15  and to have Power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:

Matthew 18:18  “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven.  18:19  Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in Heaven.  18:20  For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

Isaiah 22:22  “The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder; so he shall open, and no one shall shut, and he shall shut, and no one shall open.”

2 Timothy 1:7  For God has not given me a spirit of fear, but (His Spirit) of Power and of Love and of a sound mind.

Isaiah 41:10  “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for     I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’  41:11  “Behold, all those who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced; they shall be as nothing.  And those who strive with you shall perish.  41:12  You shall seek them and not find them.  Those who contended with you, those who war against you shall be as nothing, as a nonexistent thing.  41:13  For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’ ”

Psalm 89:20 I have found My servant David (insert your own name); with My holy oil I have anointed him.  89:21  With whom My hand shall be established; also My Arm shall strengthen him. 89:22  The enemy shall not outwit him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him.  89:23  I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague those who hate him.  89:24  But My faithfulness and My Mercy shall be with him.  And in My name (Yeshua) his horn shall be exalted.

Deuteronomy 33:27  “The Eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the Everlasting Arms (of Love); He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, ‘Destroy!’”

Joshua 1:5  “I will not leave you nor forsake you. 1:9 Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go!”

Psalm 121:1  I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence comes my help?  121:2  My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.  121:3  He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.  121:4  Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 121:7  The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.  121:8  The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.

2 Timothy 4:18  And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His Heavenly Kingdom. To Him be Glory forever and ever.
