Israelis Attend Messianic Jewish Alliance of America Conference

The Messianic Jewish Alliance of America (MJAA) celebrated their 100th anniversary during their one week national conference that ended Saturday night, July 4. The organization was formed in 1915 as the Hebrew Christian Alliance of America. The name was changed in 1975 to the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America.

Ari and Shira Sorko-Ram of Maoz Israel, and Ron Cantor, leader of Tiferet Yeshua Congregation in Tel Aviv, led a delegation of about 40 young Israeli believers from Messianic congregations around the country to the conference.

Tuesday night, June 30, was designated as “Israel Night.” The “Band From the Land” led worship, and Ari and Shira each gave special messages. Ron Cantor gave a message the next morning on “The Fascinating History of the First Century Messianic Jews.”

The MJAA have been longtime supporters of Israel through special projects. “The Joseph Project” has provided millions of dollars in humanitarian aid to Israel. The “Messianic Jewish Israel Fund” provides funds to needy believers, and the “Messianic Israel Forest Project” was created to restore Israel’s lush and fruitful forests that had been destroyed, and to further beautify Israel with more trees.

Kehilanews.com would like to join with the Israeli delegation to thank the MJAA for supporting Israel and the Messianic Community in Israel, and say to the MJAA: “HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY.”
