Jerusalem Seminary’s School of Hebrew – Togo Update

Biblical Hebrew Instructor’s Course in Togo run by Jerusalem Seminary

We at Jerusalem Seminary are thrilled to announce the first fruits of our 2020 Hebrew for the Nations Biblical Hebrew Instructor’s Course. This fruit has taken on the sweet taste of two recent graduates that have gone out from Jerusalem to Togo to teach an intensive Biblical Hebrew course throughout the month of September.

The sweetness of this opportunity for Ayala and Nathanael to teach in Togo is magnified by the bitterness we faced needing to cancel two other planned international courses to Mexico and Nigeria due to the global pandemic we have all come to experience.

We praise Yeshua that the borders to Togo are open and our new instructors are enjoying teaching and being involved with this important work. Nathanael and Ayala are in their second week of their intensive Hebrew course communicating exclusively in Biblical Hebrew aimed at empowering Bible translators, Hebrew teachers and Bible students. There are a total of 18 course attendees, 15 from Togo and 3 from the Central African Republic, Cote d’Ivoire and Niger.

The students in Togo are blossoming linguistically with this experience. Our prayer is that not only will their skills in the language be strengthened, but that it will also flow within and out of them and help them to see the Bible through more contextual eyes.

We treasure your prayers for the remainder of this Hebrew for the Nations course, for strength and health for our new instructors as well as traveling mercies when Ayala and Nathanael return to Israel.

Peace to all and thank you for sharing in our joy as we witness our King carry out good work through His people!
