Prayer for Israel News

Each year as the anniversary of the re-establishment of the State of Israel is drawing near it is the annual time that many statistics and polls are released. It is much like an annual physical to check the health of the Jewish nation State. This year — as Israel is on the eve of her 70th Independence Day — the Central Bureau of Statistics has again released the results of Israel’s annual ‘physical’.

Israel’s population has just topped at 8.842 million which is 43% of Jews in the world.
74.5% of Israel’s population are Jews and predictions are that will be 15.2 million by 2048
1.849 or 20.9% of Israel’s population are Arabs 404,000 citizens or 4.6% are non-Arab Christians or members of other ethnic groups.

It is unclear if this final statistic is the category that Messianic Jews are reported in, but you can easily see it is a minority. Despite that, the Messianic Jews are like the parable that God spoke through the prophet Isaiah (65:8-9) “Thus says the LORD, “As the new wine is found in the cluster, And one says, ‘Do not destroy it, for there is benefit in it,’ So I will act on behalf of My servants In order not to destroy all of them. “I will bring forth offspring from Jacob, And an heir of My mountains from Judah; Even My chosen ones shall inherit it, And My servants will dwell there.…”

Israel’s Independence Day celebrations begin on Wednesday night (April 18, 2018) after 24 hours of mourning for fallen soldiers and terror victims on Israel’s Memorial Day. In the past year, 71 IDF soldiers and security personnel have died while serving.  Since 1860 pre-state statistics of defense deaths, some 23,646 IDF soldiers, security service, Mossad, police and prison wardens have been killed. And according to the Defense Ministry, there are currently 8,929 bereaved parents living in Israel; 4,849 IDF and security personnel widows and thousands more children who have lost a parent in terror attacks, wars and other military operations.

During this day of mourning the human price that Israel has paid and is paying for her existence, we ask for you to pray according to the beloved verse from Isaiah 40:1-2, ” “Comfort, O comfort My people,” says your God. “Speak kindly to Jerusalem”.  Please pray for the grief that will be felt throughout Israel on Tuesday as the dead are remembered. Pray for God to hold back any violent actions planned for the Memorial Day and for the celebration that is to follow on Wednesday.  It is God Himself who has called Israel to exist again against all odds, and it is He who will preserve and protect her until all the enemies are under the feet of Yeshua.

Prayer for Community News

Please continue to pray about the prayer and financial support of Israeli Messianic ministries who are so crucial to God’s desire that “all Israel shall be saved”.  Even though Messianic Jews are a clear minority in Israel, the impact on the nation’s salvation could not be greater. Israeli Jews know that there are few in the nations that truly can relate to their life situation in Israel. That is why the testimony of an Israeli Messianic Jew to an Israeli citizen is important. Pray for the Messianic Jewish community in Israel, for our unity, our favor, our anointing to preach the Word in season and out of season.  Pray  Ephesians 1:17-19: “…asking that the God of our Lord Messiah Yeshua, the glorious Father, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in your knowledge of Him. I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of His power to us who believe.”

Pray for the testimony of faith in Israel to be even as the apostle Paul testified to Agrippa in Acts 26:17-18: “I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those sanctified by faith in Me.’”

The Jerusalem Institute of Justice petition, which was submitted to Israel’s High Court on April 12 Holocaust Remembrance Day, seeks to cancel the decision of the Ministry of Interior, and to remind all of us that the State of Israel is a HOME and refuge for Jews and their descendants – without discrimination. KNI asks all of our Christian friends around the world to pray for this crucial Supreme Court decision

Thank you. We praise God for your love and care for Israel and for the Israeli community of faith. The Lord has said, “I will bless those that bless you”.  We ask God for His blessings to flow on all of you from the nations who share our heart for the lost Jews in Israel and in the nations.
