LISTEN: Matthew 5 – Rising up to be salt and light

Rev. David Pileggi continues the theme of the Kingdom of God reviewing last weeks key points and then linking forward by stating that with the blessings, found in the beatitudes, comes the responsibility of being the salt and light of the world. He stresses that Jesus came not to cancel the law but to fulfill it by giving Torah it’s proper interpretation. He states that the least commandment cannot be overlooked and that the Law serves as a platform and a foundation from which we can rise and go further; The Word, The Spirit, and the Apostles Teaching all help us, as we work to apply this in our lives.
