Prayers from Zion for orphans and vulnerable children

Did you know that Israel has an orphan crisis? With over 350,000 children who are considered at-risk in Israeli society, and over 20,000 vulnerable children are growing up in institutions without the love and nurture only a family can provide, it is apparent that there is a critical need for dramatic reform in child welfare. Furthermore, adoption in Israel is very complex and only 25% of children removed from their homes by the Ministry of Welfare are in foster care. While institutions are temporary interventions, we never outgrow our need for family. The vulnerable children of Israel need families.

Sadly, this crisis is not limited to our country. There are 153 million orphans and vulnerable children around the world! But what can we do to make a difference? What can you do? Our God, the Father of the fatherless invites us to model His love and care for the orphan in our midst. This is pure religion.

This year, Revive Israel is partnering with orphan care organizations to pray for the orphan crisis in Israel and around the world. We invite you to join us LIVE for Prayers from Zion. The prayer event will be hosted from Israel by HaTikva Families משפחות התקווה and Revive Israel with guest Gary Schneider, co-founder of Orphan Sunday, to intercede for vulnerable children worldwide on the eve of Orphan Shabbat ראשון ליתום/Orphan Sunday weekend.

Prayers from Zion is a collaboration amongst ministries to engage people of faith worldwide to pray for orphans and vulnerable children as part of the weekend observance for Orphan Shabbat ראשון ליתום/Orphan Sunday 2019.

Pray with us as we extend our hearts in prayer for the fatherless in Israel and around the world. Ask Him how he wants to use YOU.
