God is Love. God commanded us to love our God and also our fellow man. Therefore our first step towards sonship with Almighty God is in our obedience to love God and also to love one another. God commanded us to love our neighbor as ourselves, and also to love the stranger in our land as ourselves. (Leviticus 19:18, 34)
Yeshua also commanded us, “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, & pray for those who spitefully use you & persecute you.” (Matthew 5:44)
Matthew 22:37 Yeshua said to him, ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 22:38 This is the first and great Command. 22:39 And the second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 22:40 On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
To the degree that we disobey God and do not love one of our brothers or sisters in Yeshua’s Body, & are critical, or judgmental, or unforgiving toward anyone in Messiah’s Body by closing down our hearts towards anyone, or thinking we are better than another, then to that degree we are stopping the flow of God’s love from coming through us to others. The result is that as members of Yeshua’s Body, to that degree we are dying. We must repent and forgive each person and love them, in order for us to be able to live and to have Yeshua’s Life flowing again through us. This applies to us if we do not also love and forgive, & pray for all our enemies.
Matthew 6:15 “But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
Luke 23:34 Yeshua said, “Father, forgive them, they know not what they do.”
1 John 4:20 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? 4:21 And this commandment we have from Him (Yeshua), that he who loves God must love his brother also!
Matthew 23:8, “But you, do not be called ‘rabbi’; for one is your Teacher, the Messiah, and you are all brethren. 23:9 Do not call anyone on earth father; for one is your Father, who is in Heaven. 23:11 But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant.
Ephesians 4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors, and teachers: different areas of servanthood. Yeshua clearly showed us by example what is really important.
Luke 22:26 “On the contrary, he who is greater among you, let him be as the younger, and he who governs as he who serves. Luke 22:27 For who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves!”
Yeshua, and Paul, and also Peter warned us about our pride, and our important titles, even what our teachings from God might do to us, anything that would seem to make us important, to puff us up, if we were not walking in humility and surrendered before God and to each other, by first obeying Yeshua, by denying ourself and by taking up our cross daily, and following Him?
Be on guard that your titles and your teachings do not become a snare. For each of us has been given special and different works from God in order to serve others to help build up Messiah’s Body in love, so that His Body will be able to come into full maturity.
Yeshua came to earth to restore mankind back into true sonship with His Father, Almighty God, through man’s born-again spirit. Sonship with his Father was lost when Adam sinned and fell in the Garden of Eden. When Adam’s spirit-man fell, then his soul took the control. (Luke 3:38 … Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.)
Yeshua is both the Son of God and also the Son of Man. He came to earth as the Son of Man to redeem mankind from all their sins, and to restore sonship with His Father back into mankind, the Almighty God, through man’s spirit being born-again. He also came to redeem the earth from the curse of God. Genesis 3:17
Yeshua will soon be returning to earth as the Son of God!
Luke 3:21 When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Yeshua also was baptized; and while He prayed, the Heaven was opened. 3:22 And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a Voice came from Heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.” 3:23 Now Yeshua Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age …
There is only one Way and one Path for us as Yeshua’s true disciples to attain to real sonship with our Father God in Heaven.
John 14:6 Yeshua said to him, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to My Father except through Me.” That Way is the walk of the Cross! In order to obey Yeshua and to be able to follow Him into right relationship with His Father and our Father, we must daily crucify our flesh. For those of us who decide to be His disciples, we can only do this through the walk of the Cross.
True sonship with Yeshua’s Father only comes through being a disciple of Yeshua, which begins with the walk of the Cross!
Also the first step toward being a member of Yeshua’s mystery Bride is to be His disciple. To be Yeshua’s disciple you must deny yourself and take up your cross daily, and follow Him. After Yeshua died and rose again, having purchased for us Life & Sonship through His death & Resurrection, He said the following to Miriam while He was still in the garden.
John 20:17 Yeshua said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father. But go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ ”
We are truly all part of One Body, Messiah Yeshua’s Body!
John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 1:13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
If you only believe in Yeshua, and have not begun the walk of a true believer, make sure you are not playing a religious game with God. For you will remain a child before God. Yes, you may be saved, but you will stay as a child, and will not grow in God.
Matthew 7:13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 7:14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
It is only because our God actually lives in us, the Holy Spirit is always with us in our spirit, as He daily helps us, that we have the possibility to be able to overcome in this walk of the Cross.
Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the Blood of the Messiah, who through the Eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God.
John 14:17 “Spirit of Truth: dwells with you and will be in you.”
Colossians 1:27 Messiah in you, the hope of Glory!
Matthew 16:24 Then Yeshua said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, & follow Me. 16:25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 16:26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
Matthew 10:38 “And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 10:39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.”
Matthew 20:26 “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. 20:27 And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave. 20:28 Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Mark 8:34 When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 8:35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the Gospel’s will save it.”
Mark 10:43-45 “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. 10:44 And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Luke 9:23 Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. 9:24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.”
Luke 14:26 “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and hate his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. 14:27 And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple! 14:33 So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.”
Luke 17:33 “Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.”
John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives Life; the flesh profits nothing. The Words that I speak to you are Spirit, and they are Life.”
If we are still trying to please men, to get man’s attention and man’s recognition, we are in the flesh! We are seeking the crumbs that fall from our Father’s table. To seek honor from one another is just glorifying our flesh. This is not the walk of the Cross; this is a work of the flesh. We must put God first in every area of our lives. For we truly no longer have any time to waste.
Read John 5:44, “How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?”
Ephesians 4:15 but, speaking the Truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head, Messiah, 4:16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the Body, for the edifying of itself in love.
We are all brethren, called by Yeshua to serve God and each other; hoping that one day soon we will hear the Lord say to us, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant!’ (Matthew 25:21)
Revelation 21:7 “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son!”
Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 2:4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Messiah Jesus, 2:6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 2:7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross!
Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you. But to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
1 Samuel 15:22 So Samuel said, “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams. 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
1 Peter 5:5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” 5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 5:7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Matthew 23:12 “And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Romans 8:13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 8:17 and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Messiah, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Galatians 4:4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 4:5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. 4:6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” 4:7 Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through the Messiah.
Galatians 6:3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
If you are a pastor or minister, and if you have not been living the walk of the Cross in your congregation, or your ministry, and also in your personal life as well, to help teach your congregational members, or your staff to be disciples of Yeshua, than now is the time to begin learning, and also teaching the walk of the Cross to your congregational members and the people under your covering. For this is also a major part of building up Messiah’s Body in love.
Hebrews 2:10 For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the Captain of their Salvation perfect through sufferings.
Hebrews 5:8 though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.
Ephesians 4:1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 4:2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 4:3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 5:21 … submitting to one another in the fear of God.
1 John 3:1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”
Romans 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells;
Galatians 5:16 I say then, walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 5:17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 5:21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God. 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 5:23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 5:24 And those who are Messiah’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with the Messiah; it is no longer I who live, but the Messiah lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in (by the faith of) the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
John 12:24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.”

Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 10:25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Matthew 7:1 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 7:2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:37 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”
John 7:24 “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”
Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 11:29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, & you will find rest for your souls. 11:30 For My yoke is easy & My burden is light.”
1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world.
John 15:5 “I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing!”
John 14:23 Yeshua answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 14:24 He who does not love Me does not keep My Words; and the Word which you hear is not Mine but My Father’s who sent Me.”
1 Corinthians 13:4 Love suffers long & is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 13:5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first Resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of His Messiah, and they shall reign with Him for a thousand years.
Our King and Great High Priest Yeshua walked as the most humble and lowly of all men, as the Lamb of God. He is truly our example of the walk of the Cross. Because of Father’s great Grace and Mercy towards us, our walk of sonship and overcoming must also be the walk of the Cross!
