“Teach your children well”

You who are on the road (to eternity) must have a code that you can live by… Teach your children well. (song by Crosby, Stills & Nash 1968)

A good number of Israel’s faithful Evangelical Christian supporters witnessed the miraculous resurrection of Israel in May 1948, and many more witnessed the miraculous Israeli victory over 3 large Arab armies in June 1967. For these people, those 2 events prove the validity of the Biblical prophecies and unmistakably place us in the End Times or at the End of this Age. Today many of these people continue to closely monitor world events, especially events that involve Israel and the Middle East, and the steadily increasing influence and control of the people behind the New World Order, which has been rebranded as the Forth Industrial Revolution or The Great Reset.

Since the onset of Covid-19 and the vaccine controversy, the perspectives and opinions of people in and out of the Body of Yeshua have become very extreme, fanning the flames of hated, violence and accusations of being a conspiracy theorist. The gap is perspectives and opinions between the older and the younger generations is also widening at an alarming rate. It has been obvious for some years now that the Body of Yeshua (the Church) is losing many young people to the ways of the world.

The following headline is from the Jewishpress.com last week: Dramatic Drop in Young Evangelical Support for Israel in 2019. Young evangelical support for Israel dropped from 69% in 2018 to 33.6% in 2021. At the same time support for a Palestinian state has increased. Unless the LORD turns this move around, as the older generation passes on, Israel will have ever decreasing support from her only friends – the Christian Zionists.

It is not just over Israel where this gap is widening between the generations, but regarding sexuality, marriage and the rights of the unborn to be protected. As the younger generation is brainwashed away from Biblical righteousness. This headline is from from CNN: Growing number of Evangelical youth reject the politics of their elders. The next generation of Church leaders are being brainwashed, or should I say their brains are being made dirty by the Satanic influence of the media and social media platforms. If this very obvious trend is allowed to continue, the divisions in the Church will intensify to a point where Mark 13:12 will be fulfilled … A brother will betray his brother to death, a father will betray his own child, and children will rebel against their parents and cause them to be killed.”

Not a very pleasant prospect for the future, but to end on a positive note, I believe that there is a remedy. The WORD of GOD. We need to redirect the younger generations back to read and believe the Bible, and to change their attitude and behavior to line up with the Biblical way of life. The following verses should be a source of great encouragement to everyone who has ‘prodigals’ in their families, even if they have never in relationship with the LORD. He promises that your input into their lives, past, present and future will be rewarded.

Jeremiah 31:16-18 This is what the LORD says: “Restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work will be rewarded,” declares the LORD. “They will return from the land of the enemy. So there is hope for your descendants,” declares the LORD. “Your children will return to their own land.”

Teach your children well…
