Officially registered a year after the rebirth of Israel, in 1949, the pioneer work of spreading the Word of God in the Holy Land was already well underway for over a century! Today it is managed by local believers and serves communities of all backgrounds – whether they are speakers of Hebrew, Arabic, Russian, English or other.
With centrally located stores also in Tel Aviv and Haifa, the Bible Society in Israel works with a network of distributors and vendors throughout the whole country. The owners admit:
“From a commercial point of view, [the bookstores] should be shut down. But from a spiritual point of view, these bookstores are the way we can accomplish our mission of making God’s Word available, understandable, and affordable.”
But the Bible Society in Israel can be proud of their latest product that is bound to be a blessing to people both in Israel and abroad.
