Just last week while looking at the Old Testament Scriptures, God showed me something very Powerful related to the Jeremiah 31:31-34 passage, which we all know is where God first announced the New Covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah. God showed me in the Scriptures where He had placed the exact location where the fulfillment of this New Covenant prophesy will take place in Jerusalem. Let me show you …
The New Covenant began almost 2000 years ago in an upper room in Jerusalem with the first 120 disciples. The immediate harvest of Jewish souls at that time was large, for 3,000 new Jewish believers were saved and added to the Lord Yeshua in that first day. Then perhaps 15,000 to 30,000 or more Jewish believers later came to the Lord Yeshua during the years of the original disciples.
After that the numbers of Jewish believers being saved became smaller and smaller. And for almost the last 1800 years remained quite small. But then about 100 to 200 years ago the number of Jewish souls being saved started increasing again. But even today the number of Jewish believers being saved is still very small, only a remnant. But that’s not God’s heart. For even the apostle Paul wrote that God truly desired for all Israel to be saved.
Romans 11:25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 11:26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.”
So here’s what God showed me last week. God has actually placed into His Word the exact location where the fulfillment of this New Covenant prophesy of Jeremiah 31:31-34 will take place. He placed it in the last verse of this Jeremiah 31 chapter, in verse 40. By just reading this verse, you might not see or understand its full significance. This information is really so Powerful. So I will explain.
The location is the ben Hinnom Valley! This is the location prophesied by God where the coming Great World Revival and the Great Harvest of souls will take place here in Jerusalem. And then from this location, the great Revival will then go out to the whole earth in these last days, just before our Lord Yeshua returns from Heaven.
“And the whole Valley (the ben Hinnom Valley) of dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields as far as the Brook Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be Holy to the LORD! It shall not be plucked up or thrown down anymore forever.”
The ben Hinnom Valley is located near Jerusalem’s Jaffa Gate, just below the Jerusalem Old City wall. This Valley is located on the west side and at the base of Mount Zion hill, and below the Jerusalem Mount Zion Hotel.
Long ago, God repeatedly cursed this Valley (in Jeremiah) because of its great sins. At that time God had cursed Jerusalem because of the great evils which the children of Judah had done in God’s sight in two locations. 1) the Temple area, because of the great abominations which had been brought into the Temple, and 2) also the ben Hinnom Valley, where many Jewish children were offered alive into the fires to demonic gods. See Jeremiah 7:30-34; Jeremiah 19:1-13; and Jeremiah 32:34-36.
Jeremiah 32:34 “But they set their abominations in the House which is called by My name, to defile it. 32:35 And they built the high places of Baal which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.’ 32:36 “Now therefore, thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city of which you say, ‘It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.’ ”
But then in Jeremiah 32:37, God said something very merciful to reverse the curse. Jeremiah 32:37 “Behold, I will gather them out of all countries where I have driven them in My anger, in My fury, and in great wrath; I will bring them back to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely. 32:38 They shall be My people, and I will be their God; 32:39 then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them. 32:40 And I will make an Everlasting Covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them Good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me. 32:41 Yes, I will Rejoice over them to do them Good, I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul.’ ”
God has removed the curse over the Hinnom Valley He originally placed on this Valley. For around 2008, the doves and other birds finally began returning to this Valley. Prior to then, only the crows would ever come down into this accursed place.
In 1999 I was given two visions by God of the coming Great Outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit over this Valley.
On Wednesday June 16, 1999, while I was high in worship at Mount Zion Fellowship (then Ruth Heflin’s Jerusalem ministry) located in north Jerusalem in the Arab neighborhood called Sheikh Jarrah, God suddenly showed me two quick visions in rapid succession, the second vision came only moments apart from the first. I saw the great outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit falling on many people who were gathered together in the ben Hinnom Valley and in the hills surrounding this Valley, by the Old City of Jerusalem. The general location for this great Outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit is the area just below Jerusalem’s Mount Zion Hotel!
In both visions I could see many people with their hands raised up in the air to receive the blessing of God’s Spirit falling on them from Heaven. Because these two visions came simultaneously and so rapidly, I knew that this was not coming from my own mind, or from my own imagination, but that both of these visions were really coming from God.
It was like I was looking out through God’s eyes at what He saw coming, in these two visions. I had never ever before thought about this ben Hinnom Valley, in any way whatsoever. This Valley in Jerusalem is one of the worst place in Israel, for it is called Gehinom, hell.
The first vision was shown to me from a position of about 40 feet in the air just above Mount Zion hotel and just to its left or north of the hotel. In the second vision, given to me only moments after the first vision, I was shown this same scene, with many people with there hands raised up into the air to receive the outpouring of God’s Spirit, and again shown to me from about the same height in the air, but this time from a very different location. This time the vision was shown to me from about 200 yards to the south east, again also looking out over the ben Hinnom Valley.
The ben Hinnom Valley at the base of the Mount Zion hill is quite large. This Valley can hold thousands of people. Located on the east side at the base of this Valley is the Albert Youth Music Center, built in 1979 as a worship center, to help bring Jewish and Arab youth together with music. Many concerts have been held in this Valley over the past years. While the world is focused on the Temple Mount area, and on who will be worshiped on the Temple Mount area, God has reserved this Valley for Himself as the place where He will Pour out His Spirit on both His Jewish Israel and Arab people, but also on the nations, in the soon coming Great World Revival!
