They had a hurricane on the East Coast of the United States a few weeks ago. I had the opportunity to look at pictures of the intense storm that was lashing the coast and I was struck in the Spirit that in some way it is a picture of the times that we are living in.
God has a Kingdom that he is establishing on the earth and like the strong rains, winds and waves that are breaking on the shore, there is a mighty storm of resistance that satan has loosed on the earth to try and prevent the inevitable.
This storm is centered in the Middle East and the eye of the storm is over Jerusalem. This city was the very place where Yeshua was crucified, rose from the dead, ascended to heaven and it is the place upon which His holy feet will once again return to destroy the enemy.
We believe this with all of our hearts and by God’s grace we are working to build the place of reception for the wonderful day of His return to Jerusalem. There must be a community of His people here, filled with His glory and love and who are longing for His return. The devil is focusing much of his opposition to prevent the Body of Yeshua from being successfully established in Jerusalem. But like the response in the those coastal states, there is a corporate effort by many who have given themselves in the power of God to stand, protect and restore His Body and encourage those of us who live here.
We feel the storm raging but because of God’s grace, we are not discouraged but encouraged. We see the darkness being launched against us but His light eclipses the power and darkness of the storm and because we are standing together, His testimony will continue and increase.
The challenges that we all face are small compared to the certain and overcoming power of our Risen Lord. God is the victor and as we remain in Him that same victory is ours.
