The place of Iran in Biblical Prophecy

After much perusal of the ancient Scrolls, I find purpose in our history rather than merely random events, and the Creator of Time itself has done so for an unfolding purpose and objective. The Book is written first in flesh and reality and history, not only on parchment, and in it history rolls forth with the stiff-necked Jews finally achieving a return after two millennia to the Biblical Land of their inheritance before the eyes of all peoples and nations, causing much stir and consternation, both for and against. That undeniable historical event as prophesied in the Bible is the catalyst bringing to a boil dark Adversaries who would, with irrational hatred, gather to eliminate that tiny but annoying Sign of the Old God’s existence and providence, and they would do anything in their power to remove that burr from their tender places. Their pejorative term for their sworn enemy is “Zionist,” though Zion (Hebrew: Tzion) is the term used in the Torah meaning the place of Jerusalem marked by God – the chief Zionist. According to the Scrolls, Persia, now the Islamic Republic of Iran and the hub of the Islamic Revolution since it began in 1979, before which Iran had normal relations with Israel, now plays a central role in that scenario as “the Prince of Persia.” The Prophet Daniel in chapter 10 writes thus of that heavenly vision: “Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision concerns those days.”

Modern Persia- Iran and its terrorist minions fueled and ruled by the oppressive dynamo of fear – persists with its perennial declaration, based on fundamentalist Islamic understanding, of their wish to remove Israel from the map of the world, even attempting to produce nuclear weapons for such a morbid purpose as a second Holocaust. This mindset is derived from a late-comer religion spawned some six centuries after Jesus in the 7th Century AD, and almost two thousand years after Moses, claiming to have superseded them both (see 2 Thessalonians 2:11: “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie”).  Now with more than a 1.9 billion adherents, Islam has penetrated most of the Western world, reaching the heights of political influence.

But it is none other than YHVH the God of Israel, the Master of ceremonies who according to the many Biblical prophecies would be gathering in judgement that coalition of Adversaries against the wee people called by His name that He has restored to their minuscule promised piece of turf, which will bring about a great and terrible day of immense Light and deep Darkness for the entire world in a reckoning as none other before it, separating the sheep from the goats, darkness from light, and truth from untruth, including those with their iron-clad speculative theologies of denial and replacement.

May G-d’s will be done and His salvation made manifest, and “May our eyes behold your return to Zion in mercy” (from the Siddur, the Jewish prayer book). Amen.
