Three car crashes and a stroke in one day, and G-d’s protection

On Sep. 14 I was traveling on a highway in northern Israel when suddenly the truck in front of me slammed on its brakes. To avoid hitting him I slammed on my brakes and as a result the car behind me hit hard. The truck behind her swerved to miss her but ended up hitting me!

I was surprised that I didn’t sustain any apparent injuries. I was actually calm at the accident scene, even though there was chaos all around. Both the car and the truck’s air bags had deployed. The lady in the car that hit me was hysterical. I hugged her continuously as I called the police. As soon as the ambulances took her and the truck driver to the hospital I started shaking and then my speech got slurred, so I quickly realized it was a stroke. The police ordered an ambulance and while en route to the hospital, the ambulance itself was in an accident – Oy Vey, three accidents in a row!

The whole way to the hospital my sons were begging the paramedics to give me aspirin but they couldn’t. Once I arrived in the ER, no one would treat me because I didn’t have a mask on, so life-saving treatment was delayed. I believe I’m alive today because Richard sent out an urgent prayer request and the L-rd answered all your prayers – wish I could give each of you a hug of gratitude!

As I lay in the hospital for four days, I wondered if I should’ve traveled a different route but the L-rd said I was exactly where He wanted me to be. As I continually beseech Him to send me into His harvest field according to Luke 10:2b, He produced this for His glory:

After talking with the father of the young woman driver, his family gratefully accepted an invitation to our home for dinner after the lockdown.

A Haredi shopkeeper who I know from town was so worried when he saw me in the ER, he actually held my hand to pray for me while exclaiming to my family that he never touches a woman’s hand.

A physiotherapist who’d once met a believer had lots of questions about the faith. We had a wonderful conversation.

Since my room’s shower wasn’t working, a repairman came. I was trying to sleep so I asked him to talk more quietly with his assistant. But we started to talk anyway and of course Yeshua got in the conversation! When he asked me about the New Testament, I explained it’s promised by Adonai in Jeremiah 31:31, so he looked it up right then and was so surprised. Then he said he was glad I didn’t go back to sleep.

When the doctors came they were surprised at my quick recovery so I told them it’s because of all the people praying. The head doc said, “Maybe.”

But I said, “I’m sure!” And I blessed the doctors as they left, some shaking their heads, probably wondering if the stroke made me crazy!

A young religious man whose sister came to faith after one of our encounters, called and when he heard what happened, he was stunned when I told him how G-d answered your prayers! Please pray for him and these others to know Yeshua!

My roommate was an Arab Christian so it was sweet to fellowship and pray with her and her precious family.
