This week we introduce Mar Saba Monastery, located in east Bethlehem. This monastery, situated on the eastern cliff of the Kidron Valley, was founded in 483 AD and named after Saint Sabas who lived there as a monk for five years from 478 AD. It was recorded that more than 500 monks had stayed there during the course of the 7th century. Notice the beautiful cliffs of the Kidron Valley and the stunning monastery as seen from the sky.
