This week’s article is really a follow on from last week. I believe that this is one of the most important comments that I have felt inspired to write. It concerns the spiritual well-being of the children, youth and people under age 30. As far as the off-spring of secular people in the Western World is concerned, the vast majority are seriously spiritually lost. Not only have they not been taught by their parents or educators about the true GOD and His Son, and know nothing about the Bible, they have been totally brainwashed by the media, the music, movies, and computer games industries, to believe that what used to be considered evil are in fact good, and the things that were once considered good and pure, are in fact evil.
Over the last 50 years, the devil has been working overtime to deceive the younger generations away from any kind of reverence towards God, and away from any form of Biblical righteousness in their lives. He has systematically lowered the age group that he has been targeting. In the late 1960’s, 1970”s and 1980’s, he targeted the late teenagers and 20-30 age group with sex, drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll. Then he focused on the school age and early teens with Harry Potter and other occult entertainment. You can see the fruit of his wicked influence by the tattoos, piercings and general appearance on so many of the younger (and not so young) people in our societies today. A few years ago only sailors and motorcycle gang members had these demonic things. Now he is even attempting to deceive preschoolagers with the cartoons and other TV programs that are broadcast in the mornings when all of the older children are at school. If you turn the TV on after the morning breakfast programmes are finished, you will see that the programs for the under 3 year olds are full of witches, fairies, monsters, violence, and subtle suggestions of rebellion.
Sadly the younger generations in the Body of Yeshua are also being seriously affected, or I should say disaffected by the influence of the world. Even in the Messianic Jewish world, a significant number of young ones who have been brought up to know the truth, have been deceived by the lies of the secular world. Josie and I are immensely blessed and grateful that both of our sons are following the faith. Now our son and his wife are doing an amazing job of bringing our grandchildren up in the ways of God, and doing everything they can to protect their daughters from the wickedness of the world they have been born into.
Whether we realise it or not, we are all involved in the war between YHVH and Lucifer, for our souls and for the souls of our children and grandchildren. We all need to aggressively contend in prayer and spiritual warfare for the spiritual protection of our future generations. Josie and I began to pray daily for our grand-daughters from the time they were conceived and we continue to pray every day for their protection from evil influences and for the fulfilment of their GOD given destiny and calling on their lives. When they are with us at our place, we pray with them and encourage them to pray for us,
The sole purpose of this comment is to encourage all of our precious ministry partners to take this message very seriously and increase the intensity of prayer for your family members and friends, your neighbours and the people who you work with but especially the young ones. Here are some suggestions for prayer in the Name of Yeshua the Messiah of Nazareth.
1. Take authority over and bind the spirits of doubt and unbelief
2. Take authority over and bind the spirits of temptation that are raging all over the world, and aiming specifically at the younger generations
3. Take authority over and bind the spirits of peer pressure that stops people coming to faith in Yeshua
4. Break the power of the lie of evolution that the young people have been brainwashed with all their lives
5. Break the power of the internet and social media over the young people
The good news is that the devil is already a defeated foe. Yeshua will soon destroy him by the breath of His mouth.
Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming. 2 Thessalonians 2:8
