Today we hear a lot of humane voices around us through the media. God is not a humanist!!! God is holy and mighty and awesome. These voices are becoming more and more powerful, so we must strive to listen to the voice of God, to act according to His guidance and not to listen to the voices that have plots and deceptions of people in the world and not to act on them. “…We ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29).
If there is a time when we need to hear the voice of God more than ever – it is now!
If there is a time we need to act on His will more than ever – it is now!
If there is a time when we need to apply the word of God in our lives more than ever – it is now!
If there is a time when we need to discern between the spirits more than ever – it is now!
It is time to sharpen our spiritual discernment, which is the wisdom of God, (by our submission and humiliation before God). “By humility and the fear of the Lord…” (Prov. 22:4).
It is time to know what comes from the Spirit and what comes from the flesh: “Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is” (Eph. 5:17).
We must understand that the voices we hear in the world will not bring us inner peace, security and stability, on the contrary. These will only cause us worry, fear and stress. Therefore, we should not be affected by the “news” of the world or by the political and economic changes in the world in these times. We must keep God’s promises to heal us: “I have seen his ways, and will heal him…” (Isa. 57:18), to protect us “But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts up my head” (Psa. 3:3) and to provide for our needs: “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Php. 4:19). When we will lean on the Lord and stand right before Him, He will give us the inner peace, protection and supply within all this chaos in the world. (Php. 4:7).
God looks first at us, the true believers, before the other people, He examines our hearts, He knows everything about us: “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of whose heart is loyal to Him…” (2 Chro. 16:9). “For His eyes are on the ways of man, and He sees all his steps” (Job 34:21). When we pray, and ask for His face and return from our wicked ways, God hears and gives us the reward, He heals our land and us (2 Chro. 7:14).
“The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. The Lord preserves all who love Him…” (Psalm 145:18-20).
The situation in the world according to the prophecies in Matthew 24: 6-8, is coming true right before our eyes: “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows”. Then, Wars – there are in the world and there will be more in the future.
Hunger – there is in some parts of the world and more will be in the future.
Pestilences (plagues) – there are in the world and more will be in the future. Earthquakes – there are in some parts of the world, and there will be more in the future.
But, we the believers must wait without fear, but with might – until the end, for the fulfillment of all the prophecies in God’s word: “…But he who endures to the end will be saved” (Matt. 10:22, 24:13).
“But Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end” (Heb. 3:6).
“For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end” (Heb. 3:14).
We must remember that after the troubles, will come the blessings to those in the Body of Messiah, who win the spiritual battle against us, those who wait and keep His deeds to the end (and even suffer for Him): “And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations – ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’- as I also have received from My Father” (Rev. 2:26-27).
We are living at the end of the end times, it may even be the last hour just before the actual appearance of the Antichrist. “Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour” (1 John 2:18).
Antichrist he is who will come to complete the ‘new world order’ (which has already begun to take place in the world …), he is the one who will mislead the people of the world with his lies and deception as an angel of light, with his false light: “And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light” (2 Cor. 11:14) and unfortunately, many will believe in him and follow him and his “signs and wonders” ….
We are entering into a difficult era, this is an era of the beginning of the “labor pains”: “But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober” (1 Th. 5:1-6).
It’s the time to wake up and watch His word and do it – more than ever, and of course, understand the prophecies God has given us in His word, to these days, in order to encourage us.
God’s word teaches us in Jeremiah 30:7: “Alas! For that day is great, So that none is like it; And it is the time of Jacob’s trouble, But he shall be saved out of it“. We believe that in the tribulation, they (in part) will cry out to God and want to receive the good hope and we will be tools in the hands of God to bring them to His kingdom. As before birth, there are ‘birth pangs’ and at the end, something good comes out, so even in a spiritual way … we will see more and more good fruit for God’s deeds in their lives and through the testimony of our lives. They are the ones who will hear the gospel, will accept the Lord into their lives and will begin to be changed into His image. We will see more and more people being saved in the tribulation.
We will suffer (and already suffer) together with the unbelievers, but at this time there is and will be more opportunity to preach the ‘Good News’, despite the opposition that will be upon us (as it was at the time of the Acts of the Apostles). We see today, most of them more open and thirsty, to hear a comforting and hopeful words … So, let’s take advantage of this time, to snatch them from the fire and for them to be saved on the Day of Judgment. “Deliver those who are drawn toward death, And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter (Prov. 24:11).
In these difficult times we do not have to worry about what will happen to us, because the Lord is with us. What should worry us, is – if there is sin in our lives. The word of God also awakens us to repent, and when we stand right before Him, we look forward with excitement to the fulfillment of His promise to a new heaven and new earth in which God’s justice will prevail. “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells“ (2 Pet. 3:9-13). Amen! Praise the Lord!
