We Will Know God is All We Need When He is All We Have

(HOPE IN THE MIDST OF WORLD-WIDE CATASTROPHE)

I saw a skier plummeting down a steep slope. The further he went, the steeper the slope, and the more rapid his pace. His scarf was blowing in the wind behind him as he rushed ever downward. A good skier can control his speed, even on steep slopes. But this skier had no concern for control, nor for safety or the consequences of his downward plunge.

As the vision unfolded, understanding came to me that the skier represents the United States of America; and the rapid careless downward movement represents its spiritual, moral and economic decline leading to deterioration of her military strength. Without spiritual fortitude, morality has no base. With no moral foundation, economics suffer. Without sustained economic strength, military might cannot be sustained long-term.

This vision came to me in Lusaka, Zambia on October 23, 2008 as I began a day of fasting and prayer. I have often wondered why God would show this to me as I serve Him in Africa, leaving these thoughts to simply gestate in my spirit for six and a half years. But now seems to be the time God wants me to share them with you.

In the last six and a half years, the spiritual, moral, economic and military decline has certainly accelerated just like the skier indicated, although it had been happening much longer than that.  Over previous decades, it was so gradual that many did not notice it.  Now it is in our faces, taunting us.

Just a few days after the vision, the United States elected a new President and other leaders.  In our nation, people elect leaders with similar values as themselves and therefore give them what they want.  Consequently, the present danger to the United States is not just the persons in leadership, but the entire population.  We choose our leaders; they are a reflection of deeper, broader national moral deficiency.  We need to see that the problem is as near as our cities, neighborhoods, homes, and hearts.

The vision and subsequent pondering have given me lenses through which to understand certain Scriptures and to evaluate other generally accepted prophetic messages.  I will share these below, but first allow me to share something about my own insights here.

I am an American trainer of Christian Pastors and Leaders in the nations of Africa, Europe and Asia. For the past nine years I have lived, first in South Africa, and now in Israel. Although I currently live in Israel, I do not work here. This is where my wife Char and I rest between ministry trips.

Living abroad and mixing with people of other cultures and vastly different circumstances has helped me see our own nation with an objectivity not usually possible for a citizen who lives and works daily within his own country. What some call normalcy bias hinders our willingness to see and interpret our own circumstances. It hinders our willingness to accept messages of grave warnings of coming judgments. Many of us tend to be blindly optimistic when we could be more willing to face the reality of our sins and their consequences.

In the following paragraphs, I will share just a few of the many Scriptures that seem to apply to us in contemporary national history, as they did to God’s people in days when these were written. In addition, I will share some of the prophetic messages that have been given in reference to America in recent decades. Never before in our history have we experienced what is before us. I invite you to read and contemplate these things, and ask yourself, “Is normalcy bias keeping me from seeing the obvious?” Might you too conclude that America is in trouble?

A small sampling of many Scriptures that may apply to us today

My Spirit will not contend with humans forever. (Genesis 6:3, spoken to Noah as God revealed pending judgment on the world by flood)

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people. (Proverbs 4:34 from wisdom given to King Solomon)

So do not pray for this people nor offer any plea or petition for them; do not plead with me, for I will not listen to you.” (Jeremiah 7:16)

Do not pray for this people or offer any plea or petition for them, because I will not listen when they call to me in the time of their distress.” (Jeremiah 11:14)

Then the LORD said to me, ‘Even if Moses and Samuel were to stand before me, my heart would not go out to this people. Send them away from my presence! Let them go!’ (Jeremiah 15:1. These words spoken to Jeremiah by God were as the LORD was preparing to destroy Jerusalem completely and send the remaining portion of His people into judgment and destruction.)

In a different setting, Abraham prayed as a great intercessor for Sodom and Gomorrah and God heard him (see Genesis 18:16-33). In the end, God destroyed these cities, but rescued Lot and his family. The question is, does God want us to pray today as Abraham did, or is it too late as it was in Jeremiah’s day?

These Scriptures reveal that sometimes a circumstance or judgment is so serious that it is irreversible. Have we reached that in America?

Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. (Amos 3:7)

David Wilkerson’s prophecy in The Vision

I still have my copy of The Vision by David Wilkerson. In the 1970’s I read it; and then, just some months ago in view of my experience in Lusaka and what is happening today in the U.S., I reread it. I was again sobered. Could it be that what David Wilkerson saw in the early 70’s is now upon us? It is completely consistent with the next prophecy in this outline. If you are unfamiliar with it, borrow or access it via Google and You Tube. The subtitle is A Terrifying Prophecy of Doomsday that is Starting to Happen Now!

A prophecy given to a believer in Norway in 1968

An old woman of 90 from Valdres in Norway had a vision from God in 1968. The evangelist Emanuel Minos had meetings (services) where she lived. He had the opportunity to meet her, and she told him what she had seen. He wrote it down, but thought it to be so unintelligible that he put it in a drawer. Now, almost 50 years later, he understands he has to share the vision with others.

The woman from Valdres was a very alert, reliable, awake and credible Christian, with a good reputation among all who knew her. This is what she saw:

“I saw the time just before the coming of Jesus and the outbreak of the Third World War. I saw the events with my natural eyes. I saw the world like a kind of a globe and saw Europe, land by land. I saw Scandinavia. I saw Norway. I saw certain things that would take place just before the return of Jesus, and just before the last calamity happens, a calamity the likes of which we have never before experienced.

She mentioned four waves:

1. “First before Jesus comes and before the Third World War breaks out, there will be a ‘détente’ like we have never had before. There will be peace between the super powers in the east and the west, and there will be a long peace. (Remember, that this was in 1968 when the cold war was at its highest. —E. Minos) In this period of peace there will be disarmament in many countries, also in Norway and we are not prepared when it (the war) comes. The Third World War will begin in a way no one would have anticipated—and from an unexpected place.

2. “A lukewarmness without parallel will take hold of the Christians, a falling away from true, living Christianity. Christians will not be open for penetrating preaching. They will not, like in earlier times, want to hear of sin and grace, law and gospel, repentance and restoration. There will come a substitute instead: prosperity (happiness) Christianity.

“The important thing will be to have success, to be something; to have material things, things that God never promised us in this way. Churches and prayer houses will be emptier and emptier. Instead of the preaching we have been used to for generations—like, to take your cross up and follow Jesus—entertainment, art and culture will invade the churches where there should have been gatherings for repentance and revival. This will increase markedly just before the return of Jesus.

3. “There will be a moral disintegration that old Norway has never experienced the likes of. People will live together like married without being married. (I do not believe the concept ‘co-habitor’? existed in 1968. —E. Minos.) Much uncleanness before marriage, and much infidelity in marriage will become the natural (the common), and it will be justified from every angle. It will even enter Christian circles and we pet it—even sin against nature. Just before Jesus’ return there will be TV programs like we have never experienced. (TV had just arrived in Norway in 1968. —E. Minos)

“TV will be filled with such horrible violence that it teaches people to murder and destroy each other, and it will be unsafe in our streets. People will copy what they see. There will not be only one ‘station’ on TV, it will be filled with ‘stations.’ (She did not know the word ‘channel’ which we use today. Therefore she called them stations. —E. Minos.) TV will be just like the radio where we have many ‘stations,’ and it will be filled with violence. People will use it for entertainment. We will see terrible scenes of murder and destruction one of the other, and this will spread in society. Sex scenes will also be shown on the screen, the most intimate things that takes place in a marriage.” (I protested and said, “We have a paragraph that forbids this kind of thing.” —E. Minos.) It will happen, and you will see it. All we have had before will be broken down, and the most indecent things will pass before our eyes.

4. “People from poor countries will stream to Europe. (In 1968 there was no such thing as immigration. —E. Minos.) They will also come to Scandinavia and Norway. There will be so many of them that people will begin to dislike them and become hard with them. They will be treated like the Jews before the Second World War. Then the full measure of our sins will have been reached (I protested at the issue of immigration. I did not understand it at the time. —E. Minos.)

The tears streamed from the old woman’s eyes down her cheeks. “I will not see it, but you will. Then suddenly, Jesus will come and the Third World War breaks out. It will be a short war.” (She saw it in the vision.)

“All that I have seen of war before is only child’s play compared to this one, and it will be ended with a nuclear atom bomb. The air will be so polluted that one cannot draw one’s breath. It will cover several continents, America, Japan, Australia and the wealthy nations. The water will be ruined (contaminated?). We can no longer till the soil. The result will be that only a remnant will remain. The remnant in the wealthy countries will try to flee to the poor countries, but they will be as hard on us as we were on them.

“I am so glad that I will not see it, but when the time draws near, you must take courage and tell this. I have received it from God, and nothing of it goes against what the Bible tells.

“The one who has his sin forgiven and has Jesus as Savior and Lord, is safe.”

The prophecies in The Harbinger and The Mystery of the Shemitah Unlocked, by Rabbi Jonathan Cahn

If you have not read, or are unfamiliar with these two impacting teachings by Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, you may either buy the books in printed form or watch some of his teachings or interviews on You Tube. He draws parallels between Israel’s experiences of God’s judgments and the United States. He also warns of what can happen if we ignore the spiritual laws involved in the cycle of the Shabbot every seven years and the Year of Jubilee. The autumn of 2015, he says, could be a time for something big in the financial world. Do you agree with him?

The possible coming currency crisis

Though I am not qualified myself to say much about this, I must add that knowledgeable financial analysts are predicting a major collapse of our currency. Jonathan Cahn also refers to a possible financial catastrophe in keeping with the dates of the Shemitah in September 2015. I am not qualified to comment on these possibilities. My own observation is simply that with national debt soaring out of control, and little hope of slowing or reversing it, there will ultimately be a total collapse. The Bible tells of a time when no man can buy or sell without a certain mark. That day may be sooner than many of us thought. I urge you to do what you can quickly to put your financial house in order.

A prophecy by Lance Lambert in Jerusalem

This reputable man of God recently passed away here in Israel. This is one of his prophecies.

It is well with you that you intercede for Israel that she be saved, for it is My purpose to save her. I will complete the circle of Redemption that began with Abraham and my promise that a great nation would come forth from him, and that in him would all the families of the earth be blessed. And so it has happened! For Israel became the vehicle through which My Word has come to all the nations; And also My Salvation; and the knowledge of My Purpose. From this nation, above all, came the Messiah. Soon the fullness of the Gentiles will have been saved, and I will turn again to Israel, to My Jewish People. They shall be reingrafted into their own olive tree, and My promise to Abraham will be gloriously fulfilled. Then their hardness of heart will melt, their blindness be turned into sight, and their suffering to radiant Glory. This is My determined purpose, and I shall not be turned from it. It will shortly begin to be fulfilled. I will turn all their weakness into unbelievable power, and I will use this nation as the last witness to the world as to who I am.

Take very seriously what is taking place in the Arab world. It is no good for Israel! It is not a move toward freedom and true democracy, but an enormous gain for militant Islam. They will seek to annihilate and liquidate Israel, but they will not only fail; their strength and power will be broken, and a huge harvest of souls will be saved from amongst them.

Hear Me, I call you to intercession! It will not be easy. All the powers of My enemy are centred and focused on stopping this people from coming into My Redemption and Salvation. But he will fail! I look therefore for those who will stand in the gap, who will build up the wall; those who will stand in the place of intercession.

Shortly also I will begin more serious judgment on the Western nations. I will bring them to nothing; I will turn them upside down; I will grind them to powder. They will not know what has hit them. It will seem as if there is nothing left of what once I worked in those nations; Especially that Superpower. I will bring it to weakness; she will no longer be super, but a pity of the nations.

Hear this Word of Mine; I call you to intercede for those who belong to Me in those nations; that they will be saved from it! Hear this cry. My heart yearns for those who belong to Me, that they might be clear in their understanding, clear in the way that they are to walk in the midst of all this. Do hear Me! For I speak to you who love Me, and who have this morning remembered Me; I do not desire judgment, but judgment of the most serious and devastating kind will fall upon those nations. Hear this Word from Me, and obey My call to intercession!

Conclusions and a ray of hope

Is God speaking to us through these Scriptures, visions, teachings and prophetic words? I believe He is. Nationally we may only have a short time left—and yet there is hope for the individual.

God is merciful. He is also just. Friend, I believe God has removed His hand of protection and blessing on the United States. Never before in our history have we experienced what is before us.

Over the past centuries God has invested a vast knowledge of the Bible and His righteous ways in our nation. He has allowed us to be a lighthouse of missions to much of the unreached areas of the world. Yet our sins, for example, of homosexuality and same-sex marriages, child-abuse, pornography, abortion and drug abuse, among many others, are enormous. Our sins block God’s blessings and invite His judgments on our land.

God will not be mocked; He is a Judge, holy and righteous, and His mercy is sometimes expressed in justice. It would be unmerciful to allow the present sin to remain unpunished—only to increase in breadth and depth, bring thousands or even millions more into immorality and great judgment. The entire world will be greatly impacted by the judgmental tragedy that comes to America. Christians should be neither surprised nor unprepared.

Ask God to complete His inner work in your own life. Pray for personal direction and protection. In the last of the ten plagues God sent to the Egyptians, the Hebrew slaves were protected from harm. God knows how to protect godly, prayerful individuals in the midst of national or international catastrophe.

God gives us hope. Jesus said, “Look up” and “Don’t be afraid.” That is good instruction for us today. Jesus also said to work for the night is coming and that no man knows the hour of His return. I hope we all will proceed while it is day. Otherwise the opportunities of the day would be missed. Even though our work may be interrupted, we still continue to work. Seize every opportunity available now.
