Why do the nations rage, the peoples plot a vain thing, the kings of the Earth set themselves and the rulers take counsel together against YHVH and His Anointed One? – Psalm 2:1-2

Since the month of Ramadan and the 11 day Gaza missile war in May, the level of Anti-Semitism in many countries has risen dramatically. Jewish people in Canada, the USA, Berlin and the UK have been threatened and several have been physically attacked and seriously injured. This is nothing new as Jewish people have experienced hatred and violence from even before we blame a people. Why do so many people still deeply hate the Jewish people in the 21st century when most of the good things that benefit their lives – medical advances, scientific advances, communication technology, art, music and movies, comes from the Jewish people? This intense hatred of the Jewish people is both ancient and irrational. This week I want to share with you what I believe is really behind the animosity and hatred of the Jewish people.

First of all, hatred of the Jewish people is not really anti-Semitism. The word Semite comes from the name of Noah’s son Shem. Abraham was a direct descendant of Shem, which means that the Jewish people and the Arab people are all descendants of Shem. Both people groups are Semites. However people who hate the Jews, usually do not have the same hatred for the Arabs, so it is not anti-Semitism that we are looking at. I believe that what we really discussing is hatred of the true GOD or the CREATORYHVH or the GOD of Israel. And by connection it is against the Messiah who was the Father’s manifestation in Human form. Therefore hatred of the Jewish people is most accurately anti-Messiah or anti-Christ. More about this later…

Secondly, in this current wave of attacks, the people who say that they do not hates Jews, but they hate the state of Israel and Zionism are proving themselves to be liars as they are attacking Jewish people on the streets, attacking private Jewish homes and businesses, and chanting “death to the Jews”. The truth is you can not separate the nation of Israel, Zionism or the Jewish people – they are all deeply inter-connected.

Thirdly, and it is a difficult thing to say as a follower of Yeshua, the Messiah of New Covenant, but some of the worst hatred of the Jewish people has come from people who claimed to be Christians. In fact the history of the last 2000 years declares that Jews were safer living in Muslim countries than in Christian countries. Dr.Michael Brown wrote a book about Church history titled ‘Our Hands Are Stained With Blood.’ He was referring mainly to Jewish blood – the hands of the Church are stained with a copious quantity of Jewish blood. Most of the Nazis involved in the death of 6.5 million Jews in the Holocaust, went to Church on Sunday mornings, but had no conscience about murdering Jewish men, women, children and babies the rest of the week.

Sadly it is ‘normal’ to hate the Jewish people and I believe the main the reason is revealed in 1 John 5:19 the whole world lies under the influence of the evil one. So I can understand why most Muslims hate the Jews. I can understand why so much of the secular politicians and news media live out their hatred in a politically correct way by favouring Israel’s enemies, and I can understand why most regular people also have a hidden dislike of Jewish people. I can even understand why the so called ‘anti-Semites’ violently hate the Jewish people. But what really troubles me is the fact that the Jews have suffered the worst at the hands of professing Christians. Of course I know that calling oneself ‘a ‘Christian’ does not make a person a true Christian.  The real meaning of the word Christian is to be Christ-like or Messiah-like, who is the King of the Jews and the exact image of the Father, both of whom love the Jewish people.

Looking at it very simply, how can someone say they love the GOD (of Israel) and not love what He loves (His land and His people)? And the opposite is also true, if someone hates what GOD loves, how can they really love GOD or have His Holy Spirit living inside of them? Now we are hearing that the younger evangelicals in the USA are increasingly turning against Israel, a serious indictment on the pastors and youth leaders who obviously have not taught the young ones about Israel.

Back to our opening verse: Psalm 2:1-2 Why do the nations rage, the peoples plot a vain thing, the kings of the Earth set themselves and the rulers take counsel together against YHVH and His Anointed One? Let’s read on… verse He who sits in the Heavens, the Lord holds them in derision and He will speak to them in His wrath and terrify them in His fury saying…  “As for Me, I have set my King on Zion, My Holy hill.” Acts 3:21 tells us that Yeshua will not be released from Heaven until all of the prophecies are fulfilled, and those prophecies are about the restoration of Israel and the Jewish people.

That is what so called ‘anti-Semitism’ is really all about – it is about destroying Israel and the Jewish people, to prevent the return of Yeshua to rule over the Kingdom from a rebuilt Temple on Mt. Zion. And the really shocking thing is that many professing ‘Christians’ who hate Israel and the Jewish people are standing with the Muslims, serving the purposes of Satan under the spirit of Anti-Christ, fighting to prevent the 2nd coming of the Messiah and the coming of the Kingdom. They are not hastening the day of the Lord’s return as we are told to do in 2 Peter 3:12, their actions are delaying, it and they are flying directly into the face of YHVH who is a GOD of love but also the consuming fire of Hebrews 12:29.

Unless they repent they will face that fire on judgement day, and the people who have believe Replacement Theology, and won’t listen to correction, may well be in the line with them. Open their eyes LORD before it is too late for them!

Please sensitively warn every Jewish person you know that they are in danger if they remain where they are – they ALL need to come to Israel as soon as they can.
