“I will be your God, and you shall be My people!” A personal and intimate relationship with God as sons. Is there a major problem to accomplishing this Goal? Yes, our sins! Your sins and my sins!
Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.
Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear. (John 15:22)
So what is God’s Answer for accomplishing this goal? And can this Answer be found in the Torah and Tanakh? Yes!
Jeremiah 31:31-34 “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not according to the (Marriage) Covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My Covenant which they broke, though I was a Husband to them, says the LORD. But this is the Covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My Torah in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more!” [Yeshua’s Blood offering from Jeremiah 33:18 ratified the New Covenant!]
Genesis 22:8 And Abraham said, “My son (Isaac), God will provide Himself the Lamb for a burnt offering.”
Isaiah 52:13-15 Behold, My Servant shall deal prudently; He shall be exalted & extolled & be very high… His visage was marred more than any man … So shall He sprinkle (Blood) many nations.
Isaiah 53:1-12 Who has believed our report? And to whom has the Arm of the LORD been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; and when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him. He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way. And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment, and who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgressions of My people He was stricken. And they made His grave with the wicked, but with the rich at His death, because He had done no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My Righteous Servant shall justify many, for He shall bear their iniquities. Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for transgressors.
Hosea 1:10 “… the children of Israel … ‘You are not My people,’ there it shall be said to them, ‘You are sons of the Living God.’ ”
Ezekiel 36:22-28 “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went. And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD,” says the Lord GOD, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.” [This was accomplished by ‘the Lamb of God!’]
Isaiah 7:13-14 Then he said, “Hear now, O house of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also? Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign, Behold, the virgin (alma) shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanu El (God with us).”
Isaiah 9:6-7 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the Government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful (Miracle), Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His Government and Peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His Kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. [The LORD of hosts is the King of Glory!]
Zechariah 9:9,11 “Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having Salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey… because of the Blood of Your Covenant, I will set Your prisoners free from the waterless pit.”
Daniel 9:25-26 “Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, there shall be 7 weeks and 62 weeks; the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times. And after the 62 weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;”
Daniel 7:13-14 “I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was given Dominion and Glory & a Kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His Dominion is an Everlasting Dominion, which shall not pass away, and His Kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.”
Psalm 110:1 a Psalm of David. The LORD (Father God) said to my Lord (God’s Son) (נְאֻם יְהֹוָה לַאדֹנִי), “Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
Zechariah 12:9-10 “It shall be in that Day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem… then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.”
