Wonderful events demonstrating God’s overflowing blessings

As we trust in God and lay hold of his infinite power, our lives are filled with overflowing blessings. Here are just a few of the many wonderful events that have filled the past few weeks and allowed us to be “The light of the world”!

Touching the Lost
We had just locked the gate to our house and were about to get into our car. We were heading to Jerusalem for an appointment. A young man we had never seen was walking along the road in front of our house. I felt the Lord say, “Offer him a ride.” I smiled and asked him where he was going. He was indeed heading in the same direction as we were so I offered to take him. For the next ten minutes that we were together, we poured the love of God upon him. We shared our testimony of the amazing and overcoming power of the life of God within us and God’s desire to be in intimate relationship with him. He seemed open and responded to our testimony with interest. As I dropped him off, I took his phone number and will be in touch with him over the next few days.

The other night, we went to a small Thai restaurant. The owner knows us as we really enjoy the food and have been there many times. We have established a warm connection and as often as the situation permits, I try to mention something of the Lord. This time as I went to say goodbye to him, we started to talk. Within a few minutes I began to share my testimony. He was very open and involved in the conversation and I felt that his time had just about come. I spoke with him about the simple yet amazing reality of inviting Yeshua into his life. I asked him if he was ready to pray and he said very sincerely that he was progressing but that he was not quite ready. We both agreed that my words and my life were touching him in a positive way. Before I lelt, I laid my hands upon Nir and blessed him and prayed that his heart would continue to be open.

Last week, we went to the Dead Sea for two nights in celebration of my birthday.  We were blessed with many opportunities to share Yeshua with Israelis, both secular and religious. We had some wonderful conversations including one very special one with a rabbi from Tel Aviv. The walls we come up against when we share are high and strong but we are not discouraged. The reality that we walk in is that “one plants, another waters, but God brings the increase.”

That verse is life for me as we touch many with the love of Yeshua. It frees me from feeling that I have failed. I will plant and I will water. This is what God has given me to do. The miracle of bringing forth life is God’s responsibility, not mine.

Other Events
Last Friday night, over thirty-five people from several different congregations attended our “Third Season” gathering. In the midst of a warm and loving atmosphere in which we welcome the Shabbat, there is a time of praise and a precious time of food and fellowship. Our non believing neighbor has come to each event for the last year and she won’t miss! Everyone loves this group and the requests to attend are more than we can accommodate at this time!

Below are pictures from some other events in the last few weeks.

From left to right they are:
1. A reunion photo of some of those who were with us in our Tel Aviv congregation “young adults” group and are now with us in Ahavat Yeshua, Jerusalem.

2. The circumcision of the son of a young couple in our congregation.

3. A  non believing Israeli couple whom we met at the Dead Sea and with whom we shared Yeshua.

4. A birthday dinner at our home where 5 of us celebrated birthdays all within two weeks of each other.

5. Dinner with the Korean home group. They are faithful members of our congregation.

Our congregation is flourishing. It is hard to believe that it was almost 12 years ago that Asher and I along with fifteen others from Revive Israel started the work that now has a weekly attendance of about two hundred. And today, a team of young Israelis that we have helped raise up for this very moment are carrying the responsibility for the daily operation of the congregation. It is so gratifying to see them operate with such a high level of maturity, energy, vision and most importantly, love.

It is with much love in our hearts that we declare to you that God blesses those who bless Israel and so in return, we loose the blessing of God in every area of your life.
